Island of Ischia Ischia is the largest island in the Gulf of Naples, in the Tyrrhenian Sea and, with Procida and Vivara, is the Phlegrean archipelago. The island is about 33 km from Naples and about 20Km from Pozzuoli. It places between 40.50 degrees' northern latitude and 11.55 'longitude east of the meridian of Paris, or between 40.44 degrees latitude north and 13.56', 30''longitude east of the meridian of Greenwich. At sea, the island is marked by numerous lighthouses, the most important is to Punta Emperor, in the municipality of Forio. The island has three main ports, the Port of Ischia, and Casamicciola Forio, and two ports that serve children from docking for private boats that are to Lacco Ameno and Sant'Angelo, in the town of Serrara Fontana.
